The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Warriors Table

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of personalities, and a exciting storyline including divine entities, evil spirits, and sinister influences growing in power within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Key plot points for the latest installment of this adventure follow below.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The third episode concluded with a dramatic pause and introduced the initial group of characters who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their own adventure, separate from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team includes Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the beginning that having everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

This explains, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, weaving together the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

As described by the DM, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy story mode where non-violent answers are rare.

Initially, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might look unsuited, but the developments of the third episode demonstrate why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise kicked off the story’s plot—used The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, breaking into the secret base, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.

The antagonist then paid off his liabilities and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the city, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Secondly, each adventurer has a specific drive to exit the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as the companion and closest confidant, seeks retribution.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and cautions that it is a hostile place.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their position as key figures in House Halovar could assist the party enter locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are wanted by the powers that control the city for a range of causes, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The healer turned against House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the clan.

This leaves them no alternative but to travel to the northern region in quest for the traitor.

Future Episodes

Based on the latest episode’s Cooldown, we learn that the combat party won’t be around the following episode, leaving the other eight players to assemble the Questers and Strategists tables.

Fans can expect learning which characters will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, released on October 24.
